Locker+Sweb=netblue

The Locker.uky.edu and Sweb.uky.edu systems have merged. While each maintains its own distinct hostname, they share the same accounts and storage, and now live under the NetBlue name.

We have recently Upgraded

Sweb's hardware and software have been upgraded. Please direct any issues directly to help@sweb.uky.edu.

About the System

System: Apple Xserve. Dual Quad-Core Xeons @ 2.8Ghz. 16G RAM. OS X 10.5.6. Storage via Xsan 2.1.1 (2 Dedicated Xserves as MetaData Controllers, Qlogic FC Switch, 3 Promise Vtrak E610fd+J610s
Trouble Logging in?: If you are having trouble logging in, you may need to activate or repair your account. Just use the web activation application to self-activate or check either a Sweb/Windows Lab account, a Mac lab account, or both.
How to Connect: Use your link blue credentials via ssh, sftp, or via the the web file manager.You can 'map' to locker.uky.edu via AFP or SMB.
PHP: PHP is version 5.2.6. See php.net for docs. Watch this space for upgrade info.
Other Notes: Quotas are in effect, Default Quota 500M. Issue the command xsanquota or visit the account manager to check your usage. Contact the system administrators to request additional storage.

Useful Tools

Reccomended WebDrive allows you to map a DAV or SFTP server as a drive letter under windows. Visit the Download Server login and search for webDrive.
Filezilla - Filezilla is a supported secure FTP client.
PuTTY - PuTTy is a free implementation of Telnet and SSH for Win32 and Unix platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator.
