The BCM is a place for students to connect. Our primary goal is for you to connect to God through His son, Jesus Christ. We also are a place for you to connect with other students and with area churches. Ways to connect include our weekly worship service, freshmen focus, discipleship groups, fellowships, mission trips, community projects, and many other activities. We welcome all students regardless of faith background to fellowship with us. We exist for you. Come by and meet us. The BCM is funded by local Kentucky Baptists, who express their care for you through their tithes and offerings. |

College is fun, work, hardships, happiness, independence, basketball games, and tests. But at the core of every successful collegiate experience are deep and meaningful relationships. The purpose of the BCM is to connect people with these deep and meaningful relationships that will last a lifetime. First and foremost is the opportunity to experience a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. We want to help you along on this journey. It doesn’t matter what background you come from. We believe a relationship with Jesus Christ is the reason that you exist. We want to help you know Him more. We also exist to help students to connect with relationships with each other. This is a great place to establish some life long friends. Friends to play intramurals, worship, cry, laugh, and grow closer to God with. Everyone is welcome here. Finally, we exist to help students connect in relationships with local churches. We are the extension of the church on the campus. It is our desire not to be your local church, but to help students connect with a local church. We desire that when you graduate from here you will be active and leaders for the church of tomorrow. I am here to assist you on this journey of college. Please know that I care and that I desire to help in any way possible. It is my prayer that you will look back on your college experience and see all of the relationships you were blessed with. May we walk with Him, |
![]() Three years ago, I came to the University of Kentucky knowing few people and knowing little about what it meant to have a daily relationship with Jesus Christ. Now, as President of the Baptist Campus Ministry for the coming school year, I can say God led me to the BCM starting my freshman year to grow me emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The BCM is a unique organization on campus. We do not exist for our own glory and name. All things we do, we do for a greater cause: the Glory of God. Every single person on campus has a unique gift that he or she can contribute to praising God’s name, and the BCM is a wonderful place to use those gifts. We offer a variety of activities and programs for you to get plugged in, whether you are freshman or a fifth-year senior. It is NEVER too late to begin walking with God on campus and using your gifts for Him here at UK. If you are searching for something more, wondering if you should be giving to a cause BIGGER than yourself, then I ask you to check out the BCM. I guarantee there will be a friendly face waiting to greet you and desiring to get to know you. We love you because God loves you and created you in HIS image. Even if I never get the chance to meet you personally, I am praying for you because inside of you lies the potential to live a life of joy and peace through Jesus Christ! Ben Osborne |
