About the UK Dance Ensemble

The purpose of the Dance Ensemble is to provide UK students who are interested in dance an opportunity to develop their bodies as intelligent, responsive instruments through dance techniques designed for that purpose.

In addition, they will be given the opportunity to develop creative skills and understandings through their participation in the formal and informal dance performances.

The students' participation in the dance activities, choreography, performances, costume making, set design, and poster and program design will provide appreciation of dance as an art form. It will also provide a greater appreciation of all the arts and their interrelationships.
