1.)    Does UK Trap and Skeet offer scholarships for members?

We do not currently have the funding to provide scholarships for our members, but the University does offer a wide variety scholarships and financial assistance you can apply for at http://www.uky.edu/FinancialAid/

2.)    Do you require members to own their own firearms?

No, we do not require members to own their own firearms, though it does make logistics a lot easier. We’ll work with you and our other members to find a gun you can borrow. We’re currently working on raising funds to acquire a Club Armory where members could check out firearms for practice and competition

3.)    How does the club pay for hotels, shoot entry fees and the like?

We are constantly seeking sponsorships and donations from various organizations and individuals. Fundraisers, club dues, and individual contributions cover our expenses.

4.)    If I’ve never shot before or very little, how can I improve my skill?

 There are some excellent shooters on our team, and any one of them would be willing to analyze your form and offer suggestions. We are also purchasing various instructional DVD’s for both trap and skeet.
