Per round of skeet (25 targets) is $4.00.
Shells can be purchased at Wal-Mart for roughly $16.00 and tax
4. Guns
If you have one we encourage you to bring it. We are trying to raise funds to purchase firearms for club use, but we do try and work out situations so new shooters can borrow guns from members.
5. Range Officers
The trap and skeet range is part of the Bluegrass Sportman's League. We encourage our members to act as assistant range operators, helping with the setup, loading and tearing down of the ranges. We can provide instruction to those who would like to work as a range officer.
6. Intercollegiate Competition
Trap and skeet are club sports. All student club members are eligible to compete.
7. Shooting Safety
We follow the same gun safety rules as other gun clubs. These rules are posted at the range. Two basic rules are:
Gun must be broken open or action open except when standing on the station ready to shoot.
If there is a malfunction at any time when ready to shoot, the gun is immediately unloaded.
8. Shooting Instructions
Beginning shooters are welcome. We will be pleased to provide basic instruction for trap and/or skeet.
