Every student should have an account created automatically. You can check your accounts status via the NetBlue Account Manager. Faculty and Staff needing access to NetBlue can request an account via the same page.

How do I change my SWEB password?

Your password for SWEB is the same as your link blue password, so changing your link blue password also changes your SWEB password. You can change your link blue password using the UK Account Manager.

Who can I contact for detailed assistance?

You can e-mail the SWEB Administrators at help@sweb.uky.edu with specific questions regarding your account or similar. Be forewarned, however, that if your question is answered in the FAQ, it will likely be ignored. Also, the administrators cannot help you debug your programs, create your website, or help you with any task assigned by an instructor. If you feel you are doing everything correctly, but something is still not working, the administrators may be able to help, or may simply inform you that you are not, in fact, doing everything correctly.

How long after graduation is my account still accessible?

Once you have been removed as an active student/faculty/staff member, your account will be suspended on the next "shutdown run." When your account is suspended, an archive of your user directory is made and your account will be no longer able to login to SWEB. Shutdown runs occur yearly, usually during the summer months.
