Overall my career goals are to work within a private practice or mental health facility, where I will counsel primarily women and children. I also want to be active in the research field of this area.
I am extremely passionate about women's issues both within my work and my life, and I especially want to work with women who are victims of violence. In doing so it is my hope to combine both person-centered and feminist therapies when working with clients.

Moreover, I am also interested in teaching part time at a university or even working to help train individuals to work at centers for women and children.
By achieving these goals I hope to help in contributing to a less stigmatizing way of viewing therapy as well as helping to make women more willing to report violent crime.
It is also my hope to be involved in some form of government policies which will help improve insurance and payment issues regarding mental health.
