Born under the zodiac sign of the monkey (Chinese horoscope), I am the youngest son in a family of four. Following my parents' footsteps, I studied education with a strong desire to become a high-school teacher. Yet, life is such that one never gets what he desires. After graduating from the Teachers' University of Saigon in 1991, I left Vietnam on a UN re-unification program for Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with my immediate family. I stayed in that world's largest French-speaking community outside of France for over seven years, learning French and completing my second undergraduate studies in accountancy in 1996. My overseas work experience started with Reitmans Inc., Canada's largest retailer of women's clothing. Then, I was lucky enough to get the financial analyst position at Bowne of Montreal , a member of the world's largest financial printer, Bowne & Co., whose head office is located in New York City, USA. Recently, the call of my heart has brought me to Louisville. In fact, I got married to a long-time friend. My first job in this land was totally different from what I had been used to. It was an accounting position in, as it were, Catholic church headquarters, called the Archdiocese of Louisville. Today, however, we have moved to yet another city, 90 miles away from Louisville, Kentucky, which is labelled "the world's capital of horses" - Lexington, Kentucky. We have moved here for a reason, though. My wife is pursuing full-time studies in pharmacy at the University of Kentucky - the only school in the state of Kentucky that offers the pharmacy programme.
