With a view to sharing our internet-related and computer experience with friends and random visitors, Vietnamese and foreign alike, we have selectively presented below a list of links to websites that offer freebies we have found to be very useful. There are innumerable freebies on the internet nowadays. You could almost always turn on your computer and surf before reaching into your pocket to pay for things you don't have to. Here're some personal examples: we have created this whole website using Netscape composer we downloaded for free from the internet in the Netscape Communicator package. The Vietnamese language software that was used to typeset the two-volume book (mentioned in the home page of this website) written by our father is also a freebie downloadable from the Vietnamese Professionals Society website. Most of the graphics, animations, and backgrounds used in this website came from free sources available on the internet. Last but not least, the internet access itself we used to download all of the above is, again, free of charge for us.  We would hereby like to express our sincere thanks first to the hard-working authors of the computer programmes and next to those generous webbers who make them available to the public at large at no charge. Two last notes to visitors of this page. First, always double-check - through trustworthy sources like friends or consumer reports - the materials you want to download from free sites for security, hidden charges, validity and other reasons that may concern you. Second, some freebies are useful and applicable only if you are a US resident; therefore, check them out before trying to download. We hope you will find the below links useful, too.
